The short version: Your network is yours. We never sell your data. We never expose your contacts. The only people who can see your introductions are the people involved in them. We collect only what we need to run the platform and improve it.

Overview

Trusio Inc. ("Trusio", "we", "us") operates jointrusio.com and the Trusio platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform. Please read this carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the platform.

What We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Account information: name, email address, professional headline, industry/niche
  • Profile information: photo, bio, and connection preferences
  • Contact data: names, email addresses, and "why" notes for contacts you add to your network
  • Introduction content: the contextual notes you write when initiating introductions
  • Payment information: processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, introduction activity, acceptance rates
  • Device data: browser type, operating system, IP address
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Cookies section)

How We Use It

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Trusio platform
  • To calculate and display your Connector Score
  • To send transactional emails (magic links, acceptance notifications, score reveals)
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions
  • To provide customer support
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your contact list to target advertising.

Your Contacts & Network

Your contact list is private by default. Contacts you add to your Trusio network are visible only to you. They are never surfaced to other users, used for matching, or exposed in any directory.

When you initiate an introduction, only the minimal necessary information (your name, the contextual note you write, and the other party's name) is shared with the recipients of that introduction. Contact details are only exchanged after both parties explicitly accept.

Address Book access: If you use the address book import feature, Trusio only reads the contacts you explicitly select. We never bulk-access your device's address book. Only name, job title, and email address are imported — phone numbers and other data are not stored.

Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (email) — all under strict data processing agreements
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or government authority
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, with notice provided to users
  • With your consent: For any other purpose with your explicit agreement

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Introduction records (without personal contact details) may be retained in anonymised form for platform improvement purposes.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@jointrusio.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, and access controls. Our infrastructure is hosted on Supabase and Netlify, both of which maintain SOC 2 compliance.

If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it immediately to security@jointrusio.com with the subject line SECURITY.

Cookies

We use cookies for authentication (to keep you logged in) and analytics (to understand how the platform is used). We use Mixpanel or PostHog for product analytics — these tools process anonymised behavioural data only.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
